Woodland Warehouse School Store Opens
Woodland Warehouse School Store Opens

Woodland's new school store, Woodland Warehouse, held their grand opening May 4. The store start-up was funded by a PTO grant and is run by students who are learning to write business plans, manage money, pay back loans, and interact with peers. The store sells basic school supplies and many other things. The store hours are daily from 8:15 through the end of advisory. Thank you to PTO, Mr. Dugan, Ms. Boudreaux, and their students for making this possible!

The Woodland yearbook took home six superior (including 1 best of ASPA), 5 excellent, and 3 honorable mention awards at the recent ASPA Awards Banquet. These students represent Woodland and Fayetteville Public Schools well! Congratulations to the Woodland Cowgirls Cross Country Team on winning their second consecutive NWA Conference Championship, led by a third place finish from 7th grader Carson Wasemiller! The boys' team came in as runner up. Great job to Jackson Stobaugh for winning the boys' Championship with a time of 10:59.25!

FPS Child Nutrition invites you to join your student for a locally-sourced lunch made with ingredients from farms & small businesses in Arkansas. MENU FOR THE DAY • Chicken Enchilada: whole muscle chicken from Crystal Lake Farms in Decatur & whole grain white corn tortillas from Herradura Foods in Springdale • Fluffy Rice: Brown Rice from Riceland Foods in Central Arkansas • Funky FayTown Salad: Kale from New South Co-op in Central Arkansas, Edamame from Greenwave Foods in Mulberry & Sweet Potatoes from Dickey Farms in Tontitown • Orange BananaBerry Popsicle: made by Pedal Pops in Fayetteville (comes with meal) • Freshly picked apples from Vanzant Fruit Farm in Lowell • Salad bar featuring various fresh vegetables from Arkansas farms • A variety of icy cold milk choices from Hiland Dairy in Fayetteville

MAP Growth is a computer adaptive test created by NWEA that FPS students in grades K-8 will take three times per school year. The results provide teachers with information to help them deliver appropriate content for each student and determine each student’s academic growth over time.
